Statesman. Entrepreneur. Community Champion.
Hon. Boye Oyewumi is one of Ondo State’s most accomplished sons — a dynamic business management strategist, seasoned public servant, and community champion with over three decades of transformative impact across the private and public sectors in Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and Ghana.
Born with deep roots in Ondo State, Boye Oyewumi pursued academic excellence, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maiduguri in 1988, and went on to obtain a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Middlesex University, London, in 1993 — a testament to his commitment to world-class standards.
His career began in the United Kingdom, managing annual budgets in excess of £20 million as Accounts Manager at the Middlesex Probation Service (1993–1995), and developing strategic financial plans as Finance Manager at Asset Management Company UK Limited (1989–1992). This international experience gave him a global perspective that he has channelled into every role since.
Returning to Nigeria, Boye founded and grew the Silverage Group — a multinational conglomerate spanning Nigeria, the UK, and Ghana — serving as Group Managing Director for over two decades (1996–2017). The Group’s portfolio includes Anchor Offshore Supplies, Synergy Onshore (Oil & Gas OEM), Cherithfield (Oracle Gold & HP Partner), and Silverage Nigeria (Health & Safety for the Energy sector).
As pioneer CEO of ONDIPA (2017–2022), he facilitated the $1.3B Ondo Deep Seaport project, revived the bitumen industry, resuscitated Okitipupa Oil Palm Plc (7,000+ jobs), pioneered PPP air connectivity between Ondo, Lagos and Abuja, and established Sub-Saharan Africa’s first powderized egg factory. Under his watch, Ondo State rose from 36th to 8th in Nigeria’s Ease of Doing Business ranking.
Today, as Chairman of Anchor Offshore Services Limited, he brings 33 years of boardroom excellence and grassroots development experience to his aspiration to represent Ondo South in the Nigerian Senate — to advocate for every road, hospital, school, and opportunity his people deserve.
